The beauty of clouds

Clouds at EGRIP.

We had a rather windy day today with wind bursts up to 20 kn. During the afternoon the wind dropped and we saw some beautiful clouds. On the vast ice sheet the colors are pastel white and blue and we really enjoy the amazing play of colors.

What we have done today:

1. Finished the wooden floor in the drill trench
2. Resampled snow surface profile in the clean snow area
3. Finished removing snow around the trench staircase and lift
4. Dug and sampled from 2-3 m in the Japanize snowpit
5. Mounted electrical cable and plugs in the drill trench
6. Build a hill for the third garage
7. Checked up on the safety systems in camp

Ad 2. There was a breakdown of the power supply for one of the computers.
Ad 6. The garage will be built in the garage line – close to the satellite disc.

Weather today: Partly medium high clouds all day. Temperature -13°C last night increasing to -7°C in the morning. Wind 10-17 kt from WSW changing to NW during the day.
