New extended floor

Christian and Nicholas showing the new floor.

One of our tasks is to extend the middle-level floor around the side of the Dome so it continues over the front door. Thomas has Christian and Nicholas as apprentice and we all have confidence in a successful and strong floor. The door entrance has also been changed. Look for a picture tomorrow.

What have we done today:

  1. Set up the old logging cabin as ‘slam-cabin’ in the drill trench
  2. Worked on a new main door in the Dome and an extended middle floor
  3. Resampled snow surface profile in the clean snow area
  4. Continued digging the second Japanize snow pit
  5. Strapped and documented all ice core boxes for retro.
  6. Worked on cable-lines
  7. Maintained PistenBullies

Weather today: Clear sky and mostly sun the morning, overcast in the evening sunny. Temperature -10°C shortly last night increasing to -1°C during the afternoon and dropping to -5°C in the evening. No wind.
