Newcomers greeting departing EGRIPers at the outdoor recreation sport while Skier 71 is being loaded with the retro cargo.
Saturday started with some filter runs in the drill trench, but when drilling was about to resume the drill tower did no longer tilt. This was fixed but drilling was first continued Sunday. This turned out to be THE DAY where we finally managed to have sufficient good weather to have a flight mission to EGRIP. This mission was postphoned from 20 July. 14 EGRIPers left camp and 23 new arrived. Camp population is 31 EGRIPers
What we did in the weekend:
Weather: Saturday overcast turning sunny after lunch and the overcast again late in the evening. Wind turned from E through S to W during the day, up to 8 m/s, gusting to 10 m/s. Temperatures from -17°C to -5°C. Sunday sunny with winds 2-5 m/s from SW and temperatures from -20°C to -8°C.
