Flight from Kangerlussuaq on another fine day

Drill trench appears deserted while drilling; but inside the cabin Trevor and Steff are watching and controlling progress.

This afternoon, Polar 5 arrived from Kangerlussuaq bringing food supplies, equipment and four new members of the EGRIP team. We say hello to Lydia, Giulia, Kevin and Matthias. Weather remains fine, so Angelika and Ole went to the old RADIX site some 30 km to NW to do P-RES measurements. It felt cold for the two as the wind has returned and it was not as comfortable as yesterday. The deep drillers are tuning the drill by finding the right procedure and the right combination of cutters and pitch. Today, they drilled two short cores. We have now set up logging equipment in the core logging cabin and named a team to perform ice core logging.
