Goodbye to 41 PAX

41 PAX walking to Skier 11

Today we had the last of three missions to EGRIP for this flight period.
41 PAX left EGRIP and 9 PAX arrived. Goodbye to the JSEP group, the EGRIP scientists. Hello to new EGRIP’ers including the Alabama radar team and the rover team. The day was busy retrieving the skier and organizing the new people and the incoming cargo.

What we did during the day:

  1. Goodbye to JSEP and 11 EGRIP’ers
  2. Receiving 9 EGRIP’pers and 2 pallets
  3. CFA measurements of 24 bags, last bag 3470.
  4. PP busy with exchanging personal
  5. Station for atmospheric moisture sampling and isotopic measurement is active.

Ad: 10-13 July the skiway was groomed every evening and night. Sorry for the late report on this important activity.

EGRIP population is 23

Weather: Wind between 4kts and 8kts NW to W. Overcast with a beginning clearing in the evening Temperatures from -20°C to -4°C.
