Elf on the shelf

Elf on the shelf.

When the water system goes down we have to drain the hot water tanks, the dish washer, the washing machine and the water pipes to the shower, sinks and indoor toilets. An Elf on the Shelf brings good luck… In the coming days we need to wash dishes by hand, flush toilets manually and have no showers. It is a sign of patina to need a shower on arrival to Kangerlussuaq on Saturday (hopefully).

What we did today:

1. Took down the two last weatherports.
2. Continued the CryoEgg experiments.
3. Checked skiway flags.
4. Took down main water system in camp.
5. Documented Science trench, carpenters garage an concert hall.
6. Organized medical equipment for take out or stay in camp.
7. Flattened surface in camp.

10 in camp (since August 15th)

Weather today: Clear blue sky with morning and evening fog. Wind 6-9 kt from WSW turning to W, Temperatures between -27 and -14°C.
