In camp, Aslak, Astrid, Claus, Julien and Mads put up the final 2 weatherports, despite being hampered by both new designs and a missing part. Bo put in power and heating in 3 of the weatherports and Aslak started bringing beds, while JP gave them a nice insulating layer of snow blown snow just before dinner time. Hopefully, they will all be ready just in time for our camp enlargement in the coming days!
Today, Alexander determined that our newest Pistenbully was broken beyond repair here in camp. Hence, it had to be stripped down to its main body only, as this is the only way it will fit into an LC130, our single means of transport for cargo this size. The crane Pistenbully came in handy for the disassembly, proving that Pistenbullies are extremely useful machines most of the time. JP was kept busy organising the many logistics steps involved in getting the Pistenbully-body out of camp in coordination with the FOMs in Kanger.
On the skiway, Mads and Claus made a detailed survey, while below surface, Dorthe tirelessly continued with the bore hole logging using the new logger. Martin and Steff disassembled and made repairs on the old logger in the dome.
What we did today:
Weather today: Clear skies and temp. from -36°C to -21°C. Wind: 7-12 kt from WSW. Visibility: Unrestricted.
