Mostly waiting 1

Martin went out kite skiing under todays dark, low-hanging clouds

After a week of sunny days, weather unfortunately stopped collaborating today, so that we could not ask the Skier to come and pick us up although we were given the offer. Tomorrow weather looks even worse, so we are counting on Friday or Saturday for pull-out. One of our worries is snowfall, as it will require more grooming of the skiway and waiting a night for it to harden. Fortunately, the spirit in camp is high not least because our cook Anders KH keeps feeding us with good food and humour.

What we did today:

  1. Melting snow in large pot
  2. Grinding coffee until mill overheats
  3. Chopping many onions
  4. Working on camp documentation
  5. Discussing weather for the coming days

Weather today: Unfortunately, we had overcast and low clouds all day making it impossible to call a Skier, temperatures from -13 °C to -7 °C. Wind 0-8 kt from NW turning NE.
