Outdoor morning exercises is a daily event for the young and sporty EGRIP segment

As weather did not improve, we spent another day on hold. We had cross-wind on the skiway, some snowfall, and low clouds most of the day. The Skiers had two missions to Summit station today and tomorrow, where the forecast looks more promising, a mission is scheduled for EGRIP. In the evening, ‘Interstellar’ was on show at EGRIP cinema. Reassuring to see others having bigger problems than us.

What we did today:

1. Melting snow in large pot
2. Grinding coffee until mill overheats
3. Chopping many onions
4. Working on camp documentation
5. Discussing weather for the coming days

Weather today: As predicted in the forecast, we had crosswind on the skiway and overcast most of the day: not a good day for flying. Fortunately, snowfall has been limited. Temperatures from -12 °C to -7 °C. Wind 3-16 kt from NW.
